1.) Have you started your Christmas shopping?
I am actually finished shopping! I have maybe one more gift to buy for my mom but everyone else is done! I did almost all my shopping on cyber Monday...I'm lazy.
2.) Tell me about one of your special traditions.
Every year on Christmas Eve we go to my aunt & uncle's house and eat and exchange gifts. We take family photos too. It's always a good time over there because we have a lot of people in my family so you never know what is going to happen! This just started last year but on Christmas day we drive to visit Aaron's family in Missouri, so that's the newest tradition.
3.) When do you put up your Tree?
We put the tree up the day after Thanksgiving (usually). This year though we were a couple of days late and put it up that Sunday. Since Rylee is active this year and likes to take down all my ornaments, I postponed it as long as I could.
4.) Are you a Black Friday shopper?
I am not. I think the last time I went shopping on Black Friday was several years ago. I did not enjoy it one bit either. I would rather pay the extra $20 or $30 the next day than get up early and fight the crowd. Not me.
5.) Do you Travel at Christmas or Stay home?
We do both.
6.) What is your funniest Christmas memory?
I do not remember this morning exactly but the pictures we have of it are pretty funny. I got a bike one Christmas, I think I was in like 2nd grade. That morning, I'm sure it was about 5 AM, I got up to see what "Santa" left me. And there was this super duper awesome bike with training wheels, pom pom handles, and a white basket on top!! My mom tooks tons of pictures of me on my new bike. So shortly after Christmas I was student of the week in my class and my mom had to turn in a picture. I knew she was turning in a picture of me on my bike and I knew all the kids would be super jealous! So on the bullentin board outside my classroom I saw my picture of me proudly sitting on my bike. I guess my mom forgot to tell me that that morning my hair looked like I had stuck my finger in a light socket, my eyes were swollen like I had poured a bottle of shampoo in them, and I was wearing my 101 Dalmatians night gown. (Not cool in 2nd grade). So to wrap up, I was so embarrassed of this picture that was supposed to make the other kids envious of me. Go figure.
7.) What is your favorite Christmas Movie of All time?
Ok, it is between Polar Express, Four Christmases, Charlie Brown, and of course National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation!!! I am super excited AMC played that every night this week, so is Aaron!
8.)Do you do your own Christmas Baking, what’s your favorite treat?
I do NO cooking for Christmas. Usually everyone brings a dish to our family gathering, but I, I buy the ingredients and mom makes it!! I would bring a veggie tray, but my sister already has that covered!
9.) Fake or Real Tree?
Fake! Unfortunately I have my dad's allergies which will not allow a real tree in the house. I wouldn't stop sneezing for months!!
10.) What day (as a Mom) does the actual panic set in to get it all done?
Since Rylee is only 15 months, I do not panic about her gifts. I do panic right before family gatherings, making sure I got enough and that I got everyone something. I'm sure the panic will get worse as my daughter gets older...can't wait!!
11.) Are you still wrapping presents on Christmas Eve?
I usually have it all done and under the tree a week before Christmas. I'm OCD.
12.) What is your favorite family fun time at Christmas?
On Christmas Eve mom gives us all one gift to open. We have done that since I was little and I'll continue it with Rylee.
13.) What Christmas craft do you like the best?
When I was little we used to make Christmas ornaments at my grandma's house on Thanksgiving and that was always my favorite. My favorite craft is smashing Coke cans and painting them and putting a face on them to look like a snonman or Rudolph.
14.) Christmas music?
I think I got burned out on Christmas music when I worked at Goody's and all I heard was cheesy ones. I do like some Christmas music...not too much though.
15.) When do you plan to finish all your shopping?
Maybe this weekend....??

That's too funny :) I completely agree about the Black Friday thing! I'm not a morning person, I'll be lazy and pay extra. Nothing is worth getting up at those hours and fighting people for junk.
