Wordful Wednesday-I Love Christmas

I love Christmas time more than any other time of the year. It's the one time where everyone gets together and shares a great meal and exchanges gifts. Everyone seems to find time for Christmas!! Last year Rylee was 4 1/2 months old so she just kind of hung out and watched everyone. BUT this year is going to be different. She is going to be into everything!! There will be no stopping her and I wouldn't change a thing.

Last year for her Christmas pictures I laid her on a blanket and put a Santa hat on her and Wa-La, I have a cute Christmas card to send out. But this year it was tricky. I did manage to get a couple of good shots of her but I had to try a couple of things. I got out a glass of milk and a plate of cookies and set her up in front of the tree and let her have at it. That made a cute picture. Then I stood her in front of the tree and tried to take her picture, didn't work. So my sister Molly let Rylee sit on her shoulders and she held her hands and I danced and sang and made a fool of myself so she would laugh. Good times!!

My poor dog...
Bella is our reindeer in the house. She doesn't mind to wear the fake ears but usually no longer than 3 1/2 minutes! Ever since Rylee started walking she has picked on Bella and rolls over top of her yelling "goo gull", translation: Good Girl.

Here is my parent's dog, former dog, last Christmas. Meet Rocco. Rocco is a whole other story that I don't think I should get into!!! Miss you Rocco & so does Bella ;)
Ok here are some of the grandchildren...
From top to bottom, left to right:
Manda Jane, Adam, ME, Olivia, Dan the Man, & Molly.
Tradition in my family is the grandkids stand in front of the fire place for a picture, then the families take pictures together and so on. My family is pretty big so there is a lot of picture taking there. I walk out with flashes in my eyes.

HO HO HO!!! Last year Rylee got a jungle jump-a-roo and that was a life saver. She loved this toy so much and it helped her build her leg muscles. I wonder what the big gift this year will be....hmmm.
Check out my baby now!! Shew wee how time flies.

Alright to sum this up, I love Christmas. I like the cold weather and warm houses. I love the mood it puts everyone in. I love traveling and being with some many great people. Oh and did I mention I love being off work??!?! OH YEAH! I love that this year I'm off for about 1 1/2 weeks. I see lazy days for Rylee and me, I may not want to go back!!

  4. You have a beautiful family, and I'm sorry I'm partial to Bella. She's a beautiful dog. I use to have a black lab named Cleo that looked very similar to Bella. She was 17 when she went to Doggie Heaven this past April. Give Bella a hug for me. Merry Christmas & I'm you're newest follower.
